Wow, Jesse Eisenberg was in a really good movie!

Okay, I was just reading a post about meditation when (as usually happens when I try meditation - I'm really rubbish at it) a thought came to mind. In the movie "Roger Dodger" there's a character who talks about how he practices meditation and, I thought a bit more, he's played by Jesse Eisenberg! Now I've seen Eisenberg most recently in "The Social Network" (which I really didn't like), "Adventureland" (which was plain "ok") and "Zombieland" (which, asides from a brief cameo, I found boring and pointless). However, in "Roger Dodger" Eisenberg ends up being very much the heart of the movie. The eponymous quick-witted but immature Roger wasn't going to be able to carry us through the movie, so it was essential that we had a sympathetic yet naive figure to be pulled along by the nose by Roger. Those who are Eisenberg fans would do well to check this out, while those who are less keen on his recent work might be pleased to see this earlier and more satisfying performance.
